Sorry for being a little lax on posting. I got a little caught up in watching shows and such :D. This is the last day before CVI day 1(day 2 actually, but it was my day 1) which I am so excited to write about. :D
Oh and before I continue, I'd like to announce that the Voyager space probes, sent out in 1977, have now reached Interstellar Space! :D That makes it the first human-made object to leave the Solar System EVER! So cool! :D You can read about it here - http://www.wired.com/geekmom/2012/09/voyager-leaving-solar-system/
I got up on this morning and after getting ready, I went downstairs to get a piece of bread out of the van. I made myself honey butter toast and I had three sausages with it. We started hauling out luggage to the van(while we were in the elevator, Misty and I pretended to be Obi-Wan and Anakin during ROTS XD). We piled into the van and began driving to St. Augustine; while we drove I read my book.
We arrived in St. Augustine during the morning and we got out to look at the fort Castillo de San Marcos which was built by the Spanish and is the oldest masonry fort in North America(St. Augustine is the oldest city in Norther America).
We looked around for a bit, reading the history of the fort which I found really interesting.
We saw the barracks where the men slept and drawings they had carved on the wall. The fort as belonged to the Spanish, the British, and the Americans and it has never once been beaten.
They had several volunteers dressed up in costume around the old fort. Here was a woman we saw who was dressed up :).
After a bit, one of the rangers gave a group of us a tour of the bottom of the fort and she told us the history of the place; how it passed from the Spanish, to the British, back to the Spanish, before becoming property of America. I was feeling bad on this day and the heat wasn't helping in the least. :(
Cannon balls. They had one that you could lift and I lifted it :D.
My little brother with a cannon
We went up to the top where all the cannons were(the walls were super short) but we didn't get to look at much as much as we'd liked hoped since it had began to rain. We went downstairs and finished reading what was needed to be read and I went into the oldest room in the fort before we left.
My siblings and I in a tower.

We were going to walk around St. Augustine but since it was raining(and since my Mom didn't want me walking around since I felt bad; I would have done it though) we just drove around and looked at the old town. Before we started off, I took some stuff to make myself feel better, and I ate some of my gluten-free short-bread chocolate cookies and apple slices. As we drove around, we saw old beautiful buildings, churches, colleges, and museums as well as the Oldest House.
The oldest house European house in America.
We stopped by a car dealership to get some parts for our van before setting out for Florida. I read the rest of the way there and when we finally got to our condo, we unloaded. My Mom, Sister, and Brother went to the pool to swim(I wasn't able to, sadly) and I surfed the web on my Kindle fire until dinner. We had green beans, chicken, sticky rice and my parents then went to the store for more food.
I cleaned, gave my brother a bath, I took a shower, and surfed the web some more while I waited for our parents to get back. We put the food away and began making sure we had everything in order for CVI.
The living room and dining room in the condo.
I then went to bed in my own room. WAHOO!!!! :D :D
I shall be writing about Celebration VI Day 1(day 2 for most other people)! :D :D
I hope you enjoy this post and May the Force be with you....Always
