2022 Vacation! :)

I hardly post on here anymore besides my book post but I kinda wanted to revive this area and post a bit more, so here goes! :) Some of this is out of order (due to where I found the pictures on social media), but I'll write a little about what I did below! :) Also, I got sickies with COVID after we got back :(

Some delicious gumbo! :D

One of our first stops was Vicksburg, where we went to the National Military park there. We saw an Ironclad ship that was dug out of the river (show above). We also drove through the battlefiled area and looked at the different monuments to the Union soldiers (we ignored the confederates cause they were the bad guys).

Illinois Memorial

A canon. We liked finding the different ones

Epcot! This has aways been my favorite  park!

to infinity and beyond

Mission Space. I have loved this ride since I was 6/7. Had fun riding it for the third time!

Mexico

China

Norway. The above photo is in the cool Norwegian house where Anna and Elsa were. I LOVED the decorations, as it made me think of my heritage from there! Some some stuff reminds me of stuff we have at my house.

Mayan art

We have some plates like this at my house!

School bread from the Norwegian bakery

I'M A VIKING!

Germany. The above photo is the restaurant, which is where we ate lunch. It was pretty good but I think my mom makes better spaetzle

panda bushes

Pretty artwork

Italy (statue of Neptune)

Japan

Morocco

the acrchitecture and art is so pretty

I think this is either France or England. I didn't get pcitures of a lot of areas cause my phone started to die :(

Magic Kingdom castle

Epcot at night. Their night show here was my fave

50th anniversary

We got to eat Breakfast in the castle! The food wasn't quite as good as it could have been (especially for the price), but it was still a fun experience and I'm glad I have done it once.

here was my breakfast

Winnie the Pooh!!!

Peter Pan ride.
I will say I don't like how the fast pass works anymore :(  When I went at 16, it made sense, but when we went, we were so confused :( I felt like we had to wait in lines too much. I think next time I go to Disney World, I will go a different time of year.

It's a Small World ride.

Pirates of the Caribbean. The ride closed for the day shortly after we rode it!

50th anniversary cup

Tomorrow Land. I didn't get that many pics of this area since my phone was dying. However, I did manage to get a few. We also got stuck in an ice cream store because it started pouring rain! D:

Space mountain!

Gamma quadrant (so Deep Space Nine reference!)

Star Wars area at Hollywood Studios! Here is the millennium falcon

Front of the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo restaurant. The food here was quite good, especially the drinks!

Me on the Falcon ride.

I do wish the Star Wars area had more non-Disney Wars stuff. I was able to find a few things, but I think there was too much focus on the Disney Wars content :(

Cars area

Mickey Mouse ice cream

We rode Star Tours after lunch!

Mickey Mouse show

I wasn't able to finish this since I got sick when I was mostly done with it :(

Star Wars launch bay exhibit. I don't think it was done yet since there were parts that were roped off and seemed under construction.

Not sure what this was for? I think it might have been a possible photo op that was down.

At least this area had more PT and OT content.

That Obi-Wan image is from a Legends book! (The Cestus Deception)

Random funny story about when I was in the Star Wars section. So I went to ask a question about what something was to one of the workers and he asked me if I was secretly an imperial spy and I said I was secretly a Jedi and to not tell anyone XD It was funny!

Buzz Lightyear ride which took forever to get to.

Toy Story stuff

We took a break from Disney and rode the glass bottom boat in Silver springs.

alligator

The last park we visited was Animal Kingdom. Unlike the other parks, I hadn't been to this one since I was 6-7 (since when my mom took my brother, I was going to Star Wars convention).

I remember eating here with my Nana!

Baobab tree

some parrots/macaws.

the tree is so photogenic

Africa section of the park

We went on a safari and saw some animals

We saw a baby monkey which was cute

a lot of the animals were quite close, particularly the giraffes.

elephants

sleeping lion

a group of guys gave a cool performance with singing and dancing and acrobatics.

DRUMS

PRETTY

Asia section

I really liked the art work in this area

Pandora section (this is from the Avatar movie)

Dinosaur area
Some of the people working here were huge assholes. We got into trouble for sitting on the floor while waiting out the rain but others got away with it. So I decided to annoy them by stading in their way.

NASA!!! I need to go back cause I didn't get to do everything! D:

Gateway has some set ups exploring where the future of space faring will go and had a fun little simulation we could go on.

While waiting in line for the Gateway experience (we did strange new worlds), they had a trivia game going on for those in line and I guessed one of the questions and got a pin for winning! :)

Next we took a bus down to the Apollo/Saturn V area, which was really awesome. There we learned about the Apollo missions (which I already knew about for the most part, but some stuff I didn't) and the set up for that area was pretty awesome.

The VAB, which is huge

the Saturn V rocket

One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

the Atlantis shuttle! I remember this one!

the international space station

The cafe was closed so we got dinner somewhere else.

The pictures will be below, but I got to meet an astronaut and got his autograph! :)

We got to go to the Atlantis exhibit, which was really cool and I'm sad I didn't get to spend more time looking at it.

We got to see the REAL Atlantis rocket! :D :O

I have a lego set of this shuttle somewhere!

the rocket garden

this was the real headquarters of the apollo missions.

Accidentally driving through Georgia XD

my room at disney, I wanted it back :(

Here are some pictures of going to a beach town earlier in the week when we went to the beach.

earlier in the week, we went to the beach.

me at the beach. I had fun jumping in the waves. I only did it for a bit, since I can't stay at the ocean for too long, but it was fun while I liked doing it.

Now some pictures of me during the trip that my parents took!

we won the battle against the confederates!
