Okay, so today's topic is "Favorite TPM moment"
Great, because this is one of my favorite Star Wars films
Here goes!
Obi-Wan's duel with Darth Maul- an awesome showcase of lightsaber skill(I'm speaking of Obi-Wan, I don't like Darth Maul). It's awesome because it made Obi-Wan the first Jedi to kill a Sith in over a thousand years.
The scene where Qui-Gon tells Obi-Wan to train Anakin. This scene is really sad :( But it is well acted, and it is one of the few times we see Obi-Wan cry. Also, I thought it was sweet of Qui-Gon to stroke Obi-Wan's face when he saw how grieved his Apprentice was- it was something a parent would do.
The scene where Obi-Wan promises Anakin that he will be a Jedi. It is a very surreal moment and....well, I just love the actors facial expressions and voice inflections.
The entire victory parade sequence, it is very happy and the music is very upbeat. I also love the look the two exchange. 
The scene where Obi-Wan tells Yoda that he WILL train Anakin. I love this scene; it shows Obi-Wan's rebellious side. Interesting fact, the only times Obi-Wan ever argued against the Council-it had to do with Anakin. It also shows his devotion to his Master.
"Anakin Skywalker, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi." A great little scene where two people are introduced to each other, little knowing that each will change the others lives. I also like the smile Obi-Wan gives Anakin. :)
I also love the scenes when Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Jar Jar are in the bongo and several different funny scenes happen such as- "There's always a bigger fish" and the part where Qui-Gon tries to calm a panicking Jar Jar and causes him to go semi-unconcious and Obi-Wan says "You over did it."
Also, did you notice that, after the scene shown below, when Padme is talking to Palpatine, Obi-Wan has his hand on Anakin's shoulder. I've always wished there could have been more Obi-Wan/Anakin interactions in The Phantom Menace. Oh well, we have both the novelizations, Rogue Planet, and the Jedi Quest series. So, I pretty much like anything including Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Anakin, and lightsaber duels :).
i love padme' she's an awesome character and would have liked to see more of her in these films. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, she's really cool! I especially wish she'd had done more in ROTS, but then she was pregnant so I can understand why she wasn't in it as much.
ReplyDeleteYes, Padmé was an amazing character. I would have LOVED to see more of her in ROTS. But, she was pregnant and even if she could do anything action related, I doubt Anakin would let her anyways.
