Taekwondo

I started Taekwondo a few months ago and I thought I'd post a few pictures.

Me in my Dobok(Korean for uniform). I really like it, it's flexible, easy to maneuver in, and it looks really cool :)

Me working on my form

Here we are in a line practicing

My sister and I in a back stance, with my little brother running in the background XD (yes, I know, my hands aren't in the right position here :p)

Here I am practicing my form

  2. Awesome!!! :D I took Chun Kuk Do when I was younger, and I had SO much fun! I got to a purple belt (four of five belts away from a jr. black) before I had to quit. ;P I hope to start again soon! I know y'all will have TONS of fun, and karate is a great way to get exercise! I'd love to see more pictures as y'all progress. :)

    1. Thank you! That's really awesome, hope you can start up again soon! :D I agree, it is very good exercise(our dojo Master makes sure we do lots of stretching, sit-ups and push-ups so we can strengthen our legs and arms).
And I will be posting pictures of us as we progress :D

  3. Nice pictures! I took taekwondo for a few years when I was younger. I got all the way up to blue belt and then quit. It's a great form of exercise! :)

  5. Cool! Some of my friends do Taekwondo, but I do Karate. After around three years practicing with a calm male sensei and a eerily stern female sensei at my dojo, I reached green belt (two more belts 'till black belt).
Both are good ways to practice self-defense, discipline, and mental strength, though! We girls should be able to defend ourselves without the help of men! XD

    1. That's really cool! Congrats on getting that far, hope you get a black belt soon. I agree, both martial arts are very good ways to practice self-defense, discipline, and mental strength. And I completely agree, girls definitely need to learn to defend themselves :)
