30 Day Challenge: Day 6

Day 6! :) I know very few people even look at this, but it's fun, so I'll keep doing it (good for keeping track of my life when I want to later).

I have related to and found songs I related to for many years and there are many songs that are important to me. However, Breaking Benjamin will always be a band close to my heart. I have loved them since I was 12/13, and their music helped me during certain times. It also makes me think of Star Wars, which makes me happy <3 nbsp="" p="">
Here's my favorite song by them.

30 Day Challenge: Day 5

So for Day 5 I am supposed to tell you five places I want to visit. Which will be fun, since I have so many places I want to travel to. Some I will even try to get to when I study abroad in England :) 

As someone who has loved Robin Hood for a long time, I absolutely want to visit Nottingham and Sherwood Forest. I kinda want to dress up and run around XD I definitely plan on visiting here when I study abroad (I won't be overtly far, so I can!) so expect pics :) 

As someone who is directly descended from Chaucer, I REALLY want to visit Canterbury, especially the Canterbury Cathedral. Also expect pics from here :)

Notre-Dame. Ever since I read Victor Hugo's novel and watched the various movies, I've wanted to visit this beautiful church in Paris, France. I especially want to go to a church service. I am hoping I can hop over there for a weekend. Love the Gothic architecture! 

I love ancient architecture and I have loved Greek work for a long time. I also love Greece and it's history, so getting to see it would be wonderful. 

I want to go to places in South Korea and explore the country where Taekwondo was formed. Maybe find the place where it possibly originated from?

I have lots of other places I want to travel to, but these were some that came to mind (especially since I will be traveling in a year, hopeful

30 Day Challenge: Day 4

Hello all! :D So it's day four and for this day we have to talk about where we came up with our name.

Since I don't want to reveal my tumblr name, and since I'm doing this on blogger, I'll explain why my blog is named what it is.

I named my blog "Pens, Thespians, and Words" because I', a writer, an actor, and a reader. When I made the blog, I wanted to come up with something that encompassed what I loved. My user name is basically the name of a Jedi I created as a teen (and who I still love a lot :) ).

30 Day Challenge: Day 3

                              So day 3, I have to give you what I did today in great detail. I will write about this as I go, so when I post this tomorrow, the day will have been "yesterday" (June 3rd).

1: Woke up, after having an nightmare about not being enrolled for the Fall
2: Sat in bed on phone and read some Destiel fanfic for an hour
3: Came upstairs and finished going through a tumblr thing I was on (I like going to people's blogs and reblogging a lot of their stuff).
4: Had pancakes for breakfast
5: Took my pills/vitamins
6: Posted on blogger, commented on Arda's post, started this one
7: Watched episode 17 of Ultra Maniac (HA! 7...17...XD >:D)
8: Dried and put dishes away
9: Went on tumblr, read some meta, became frustrated a little that some people aren't seeing some things I did in in the season 11 finale.
10: Read some of "Antigoddess"
11: Saw some nice stuff on my friends' tumblrs :)
12: Wasted time, then went to go get ready (at 1:00 :O)
13: Did 50 push ups and 50 sit ups/crunches while I warmed up some soup
14: Ate some bock-choy chicken soup for lunch while I was on tumblr (posted some meta, read a drabble written for me, listened to music).
15: Did some Spanish on duo lingo
16: Drove to the library to drop off the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Sword of Summer (which was AWESOME; finished it last night and I definitely recommend it :D ) and picked up an ILL. It was the second Rebel Force book! :D Can't wait to read them and see more of Ferus Olin (and a little Obi-Wan Kenobi!! :D).
17: Saw that lots of people liked my meta :D
18: Got ready for Taekwondo and read some more of 'Antigoddess'
19: Went to Taekwondo and had a weird class period O_O Some of the kids acted up and caused a commotion, so they got in trouble and thirty minutes later my sister started leading (the instructor asked her to) stretches and stuff. One by one, the kids got brought back to the office to discuss the issue until it was just my sister, brother, and I (and it was our homeschool Taekwondo school XD). We finished up with some planking and crunches, then did some line drills (just the duck walk leg exercise and some triple/double roundhouse kicks). The instructor came out with the kids and we had a 'court case' or sorts, where we discussed and tried to figure out what exactly happened. We finally came to to a consensus on what happened and I helped a kid with his form until class was over. Then we left.
20: Filled out a scholarship thingy for study abroad.
21: Ate a bunch of grapes before dinner >:)
22: Had some bock-choy chicken soup for dinner (with strawberries as a side)
23: Wrote some of my book and listened to music (I have listed to music all day) while taking nightly pills/vitamins
24:  Skimmed through a couple of destiel fanfics, ate an apple, wrote some more
25: Took a bath, brushed teeth, and flossed
26: Watched some fan vids on YouTube (and a clip from SPN season 9) and read a little fic
27: Went to bed and read some more fic before falling fast asleep

30 Day Challenge: Day 1

So Arda from "In Western Lands" and I decided to both do this challenge (she found it on Pinterest). Now that I got the two posts I was wanting to post first, I decided to do day one for this challenge.

Day 1 is to write some basic things about myself. 

Okay, here goes! :D A lot of this will probably be repeats of what everyone knows, so I'll add some stuff you might not!

As an actor, my favorite plays to be in were "Annie", "Through the Looking Glass", "Les Miserables", "The Chronicles of Narnia", "Godspell", and "Suessical". 

Counting my re-writes, I have completed 7 (nearly 8) full novels :D

I guess I'm now a JUNIOR in college :O 

I am now a Red Stripe in Taekwondo 

I can do over a hundred sit ups/crunches in a row if I want to

I have continued reading fiction books during college :O 

As someone with aspergers/high functioning autism, I often read autistic Castiel, Destiel fanfictions (or just plain Destiel fanfics, in general) to calm down when I'm really upset/after a freak out, meltdown, or ranting/crying session. 

I can do pretty decent cartwheels 

I have been singing "Fare Thee Well" while in the car WAY too much

I have high-fived God (or, the actor that plays him on TV XD) TWICE :D

Thanks to Dean Winchester *glares*, I am 75-80% sure I'm demisexual (though I might be asexual, I don't know)

My Fourth Semester of College

I finished my fourth semester of college in May. It was the last one of my sophomore year and my first semester at my new university. Since this one is much closer, I was able to stay home and just drive to campus and back. I am thankful about this for a variety of reasons. Number 1, I don't have to deal with stupid housing or crappy roommates/I can stay at HOME and not have to pay as much. Number 2, I can get back to Taekwondo. I have gotten my red stripe thanks to being able to go consistently :)

I was on deck crew and I helped move props, handed them to actors, cleaned the stage, and I even subbed for the Assistant Stage Manager one night (and put away/got out the props). It bumped my hours up to 17 O_O. The kids were nice for the most part and I got to talk to various people, which was nice. I also read a Star Wars books backstage when I had nothing to do (there was lots of waiting), which was nice :) (It was "Shadow Games").

I had to write 1 or 2 things a week and it was so O_O. I got good grades on most of them, but still O_O. I don't like writing essays!! :O I also had a lot of reading to do :p I even watched a movie for school (it was "Charlie Chan in London"). I also had these primary source things for History where I had to read a document/speech from various people in history and answer questions (had to do those every week). OH! And besides text books, I read two books for history. They were "12 Years A Slave" and "Coming of Age in Mississippi", both of which were good reads. And, of course, the film discussions online (had to do a certain amount).

I had to memorize my lines within several hours (and it was a pretty big script) and it was a lot of fun :) I had a good role, the skit I was in was one of my favorites that ended up being performed, and I thought it was cool that the kids playing my siblings and I all had a similar hair color (so we could totally be siblings). I hope to do it again, it was so much fun! :D

It was a huge class, but I was one of the few kids to ever answer questions :p I was a bit disappointed that the labs were all online and filling out a book, since I was hoping to do some science experiments. But I did like that TA who led it and she seemed to like me as well. The tests were also very easy, which meant I had to study very little for them (but I don't have to study too much, anyway, so make you always study). Like, some of the questions could be on an elementary school quiz O_O Some of the kids were rude in class, though, since they were watching TV SHOWS while class was in session. Stop wasting your time and money, losers! The teacher and the TA had accents, but thankfully, I had heard a lot of these accents before, so it didn't take me long to figure out what they were saying most of the time.

We read various plays over the course of the semester and wrote papers over them, analyzing them in different ways (as different people). My favorite, and the one I did the best on, was the film analysis one where I got 100 :D (I had a slide show AND a paper for that one). The plays we read were - "The Lion in Winter", "Amadeus", "Creating Claire", "Incorruptible" (which I had seen performed), "An Experiment with an Airpump", "Gidion's Knot", and "The Game's Afoot". I liked most of them :) The course made me appreciate plays more, which was nice :) And now I know a lot more about the industry. The teacher liked me, which was nice, and he told my mom he thought I could go in for a PH.D :O Not that I want to, but I am glad he thought so :) And he apologized if he thought he did something wrong, which was also nice, since so many people don't do that. I answered questions a lot in this class, as well.

But, thankfully, it wasn't all that hard, just a lot of homework and in-class assignments and a couple of critiques (we also had two LONG tests, that I got As on :D). I did well on most of it and learned a lot, though I learned that I definitely don't have the right mind and temperament to be a stage manager. Throughout the class, we followed the musical that was being performed and used it for our "show" that we were pretending to be the SM for; we had to go to rehearsal and make notes for certain homework assignments, like the rehearsal report and to take blocking notes (IT'S HARD, LET ME TELL YOU, BUT I CAN DO IT CAUSE I GOT AN A :D). At the end, we had to put everything we did in our class and put it into our promptbook. I got a 100 on it :O.

It wasn't as in-depth as other stuff I've done (my homeschooling curriculum spoiled me XD), but I still had a lot of fun and I learned some things. The teacher did a really good job teaching the course, especially since it was such a HUMONGOUS class :O She seemed to like a lot of my thoughts I did on the attendance sheets and I got a 100 on my second Midterm :D  I liked one of the TAs as well :) He was friendly to me and I even saw him at Red Lobster and he came over and said hi :) I enjoyed going through history and learning about everything, though I was disappointed that we skipped some stuff there towards the end (like, we didn't get anything about the 80s). Though, it was a little eerie hearing about 9/11 from someone who remembers it (I remember it a little, but I was five, so I don't remember everything, just the images on the TV and my sister and I yelling at our mom to turn it off) and remembers what the world was like before. Like, I was watching some videos of the second plane hitting and everyone was saying "this was on purpose". But, now that it happens much more often (and not just instances like the OKC bombing and 9/11), most people my age would expect it to be on purpose, and not an accident.

I enjoyed watching the films and discussing them, but sadly, my views on the films and representation tended to be different from my teacher's (I felt like we had different approaches to feminism; plus, I prefer everyday feminism, not the academic variety, for some reason). I also didn't like that we were reading a book by two white, straight dudes who obviously didn't quite get things (they were trying too hard. It would have sounded way better if a woman, a POC, an LGBTQA+ person, or a mix of these, had written it). Also, it was an interesting study in how men tend to challenge the teacher (though a lot parroted as well), while women tend to parrot what the teacher says (and public schoolers in general tend to parrot as well). And no one else tended to see where I was coming from EVEN THOUGH what I was saying was actually quite TRUE if you thought about it :P (and I don't overthink :p). But we did watch some really good films and I would definitely recommend quite a few of them (We got to watch indies, which was fun, since I haven't really watched any before).
