I was tagged in the Doctor Who tag by James at JandJ Productions . Yay! :D Thanks! :) :D
Day 1 - When and why did you start watching Doctor Who, and what made you become a fan of it?
I started watching Doctor Who last year(though I'd seen a few things the year before, like Blink and the first half of season 1). I really loved the science fiction elements, the acting, and how easy it was to connect to the characters; plus, it's just plain exciting, which is a must in any story :D
Day 2 - Favorite quotes
I've seen fake gods and bad gods and demigods and would-be gods; out of all that, out of that whole pantheon, if I believe in one thing... just one thing... I believe in her. - The 10th Doctor
Planet Earth. This is where I was born. And this is where I died. The first nineteen years of my life, nothing happened. Nothing at all, not ever. And then I met a man called the Doctor. A man who could change his face. And he took me away from home in his magical machine. He showed me the whole of time and space. I thought it would never end. … Well, that's what I thought. But then came the Army of Ghosts. Then came Torchwood and the war. That's when it all ended. This is the story of how I died. - Rose Tyler
- Rose: I am the Bad Wolf. I create myself. I take the words; I scatter them in time and space —[the words "BAD WOLF" detach from the Corporation's sign on the opposite wall and fly off] — a message to lead myself here.
- The Doctor: Rose, you've got to stop this! You've got to stop this now! [pause] You've got the entire Vortex running through your head! You're gonna burn!
- Rose: I want you safe. My Doctor, protected from the false god.
Sally Sparrow: "I love old things. They make me feel sad."
Kathy Nightingale: "What's good about sad?"
Sally Sparrow: "It's happy for deep people."
"Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink." - 10th Doctor
Amy: "You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later they're as dull as a brick? Then there's other people, when you meet them you think, 'Not bad. They're okay.' And then you get to know them, and...and their face just sort of becomes them. Like their personality's written all over it. And they just turn into something so beautiful."
Both say in unison: "Rory's the most beautiful man I've ever met."
Cyber Leader: Daleks, be warned. You have declared war upon the Cybermen.
Dalek Sec: This is not war - this is pest control!
Cyber Leader: We have five million Cybermen. How many are you?
Dalek Sec: Four.
Cyber Leader: You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?
Dalek Sec: We would destroy the Cybermen with one Dalek! You superior in only one respect.
Cyber Leader: What is that?
Dalek Sec: You are better at dying. Raise communications barrier!
The Doctor: I'll just step into this Police box and arrest myself
Day 3 - Favorite theme songs
The opening theme(my favorite versions were the ones that played during 9 and 10)
Doomsday Theme
Rose Tyler theme
The Doctor's themes(9, 10, 11)
Captain Jack's Theme(I think it's from Torchwood, but it sounds cool).
I Am The Doctor
"Nightmares" by the Chameleon Circuit(not from the show, but it's a good song)
Day 4 - Favorite episodes and favorite scenes/moments
Favorite episodes - My top favorite episode is probably Doomsday, but I loved most of the episodes, especially the exciting ones! :D Next are - Journey's End, The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, The Sound of Drums/Last of the Timelords, End of Time part 1 and 2, Utopia, Parting of the Ways, Midnight, Turn Left, Bad Wolf, and a lot of others
Ninth Doctor - Parting of the Ways, Bad Wolf, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, Father's Day, The Long Game, Dalek, The Unquiet Dead, and pretty much the whole season with him in it :D
Tenth Doctor - Doomsday, The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, Journey's End, The Sound of Drums/Last of the Timelords, End of Time part 1 and 2, Utopia, The Christmas Invasion, New Earth, Tooth and Claw, Midnight, Turn Left, Rise of the Cyberman/Age of Steel, The Idiot's Lantern, 42, Planet of the Ood, The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky, The Doctor's Daughter, The Unicorn and the Wasp, The Shakespeare Code, Smith and Jones, The Runaway Bride, Army of Ghosts, Gridlock, Blink, Partners in Crime, and The Stolen Earth.
Eleventh Doctor - Vincent and the Doctor, A Christmas Carol, The Impossible Astronaut/Day on the Moon, Closing Time, The Lodger, The Girl Who Waited, and The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People,
Some of my favorite scenes include the climax of Doomsday as well as the ending, the eerie parts and the part where they listed off the dead and included the Ood in The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, The Doctor's interactions with his main companions(especially Rose, Martha, and Donna), the scenes with The Doctor and Wilfred(and how they were talking like being father/son), The Doctor and the Master scenes, the Doctor and Captain Jack scenes, the exciting and creepy science fictions stuff, and basically all of the awesome parts! :D
Day 5 - Least favorite episodes
The Girl in the Fireplace(just didn't work for me; gave me the uncomfortable feeling of cheating), Human Nature/The Family of Blood(also made me a little uncomfortable), Love & Monsters(got weird at the end), and Planet of the Dead just felt a little off(thought it had some really funny lines in it)
Day 6 - Favorite Doctors (or do you disagree with the idea of having a favorite Doctor, and like all of them equally?)
For me it's a tie between Nine and Ten :D
Day 7 - Favorite companions
Rose Tyler!! :D
I also really love Donna Noble, Martha Jones, Captain Jack Harkness, and Wilfred Mott. I'm also intrigued by Clara
Day 8 - Least favorite companions
Well, I'm not too fond of River Song for personal reasons
Day 9 - The characters you relate to most
I'd say Rose Tyler and Donna Noble- I just connected with Rose(maybe because she wasn't some famous, amazing person; same goes for Donna; we're all just regular people who aren't rich or anything and I loved that they ended up being amazing people in the ended.)
Day 10 - Favorite villains and the villains that frightened you the most
My favorite villain in DW was the Master- I loved how they interacted and how they had a hate/love relationship of sorts. They're connection was fascinating and I'd love to see more of it. I also love the Daleks and the Cyberman. And the thing in Midnight is very interesting.
The villain that came the closest to actually freaking me out(the show doesn't really 'scare me') was the sentient water in the episode "The Waters of Mars". And the gas-masks growing out of people's faces was pretty weird as well(so was the creature in Midnight).
Day 11 - Least favorite villains
I don't have a least favorite.
Day 12 - Funniest moments
Nine's sassy behavior was very humerous and Closing Time and The Lodger were hilarious!! XD I also liked "Look at me, I'm a target!" XD
Day 13 - Moments that made you cry
Nothing on the show made me cry per say(I don't really cry that much when watching stuff; weirdly, musicals will at times). However, a lot of the episodes did make me feel very sad, such as the parts where Rose was left behind in the parallel world and the Doctor lost connection with her, Donna losing her memory and not remembering anything she had done(it was really sad the Doctor said goodbye to her and she just went 'bye' like it was no big deal. :( ), when 9 and 10 regenerated, and the scenes with the Doctor and Wilfred. And the Master dying in the Doctor's arms.
Day 14 - Saddest episode
Doomsday, Journey's End, Last of the Timelords, End of Time part 2, Partying of the Ways, and Midnight
Day 15 - Favorite friendship
I also loved the Doctor and Wilfred; I think Wilfred really helped the Doctor out in a dark time, and if that isn't what a true friend does, then I don't know what is.
Day 16 - Favorite couple
Rose Tyler and the Doctor(9 and 10) hands down
Day 17 - Favorite actor
Christopher Eccelston, David Tennant, and John Barrowman. They are all very talented actors and all performed they're roles magnificently. I also love Bernard Cribbins
Day 18 - Favorite actress
Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, and Freema Agyeman, for the same reasons as above :D. Jenna-Louise Coleman is also good from what I've seen :D.
Day 19 - Favorite writer
Russel T. Davies hands down. I also think Matt Jones was really good as well.
Day 20 - What actor you would like to play the 12th Doctor
Tom Hiddleston, Emma Watson, or someone not very well known(I think a female Doctor would be awesome :D).
Very cool!! :D I love those quotes, especially happy for deep people (this quote is basically why I watch certain DW episodes at all XD), Amy's quote, and I'll just step into this police box. XD And yesss the Doctor's interactions with Rose, Martha, Donna, and Wilfred. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!! :D I agree, I like that one too(since it's true :D). Yes, I love those quotes too :D
DeleteGlad you agree, they're the best!! :D
Love & Monsters was extremely weird, I did not remember it off hand just by the name, but I looked it up and saw that weird creature and remembered how absurd it was. An unknown is my preferred choice for the 12th Doctor if Hiddleston can't do it, but we will find out soon enough who the Doctor will be! Thanks for doing the tag, it was fun to read!
ReplyDelete-James
Glad you agree; yeah the episode was just..awkward.
DeleteI agree, an unknown would be a good idea, since David and Matt were both unknown-sh when they took the role.
Hopefully we get a good actor :)
I agree, looking forward to who they announce :D.
You're welcome and thank you, glad you enjoyed it :D
