Achieved Green Belt in Taekwondo!! :D

So, on November 9th, I tested for my Green Belt(the step from beginner to intermediate student) and, that following Thursday, I received my Green Belt :D. This test was definitely the hardest yet(luckily the next one isn't), what with us having to do around 80 things and a lot of terminology(one thing I had to memorize in a day because I hadn't forgotten about it- the paper was under a lot of other stuff and had gotten sorta lost). However, I think my test went well(my instructor was happy about it) and my sister and I both passed(I believe we both aced our terminology! :D).
I knew before receiving the belt that I'd passed, since we learned 360 kicks that Monday, which is something you don't learn til you're a Green Belt- plus, our instructor kept saying stuff that gave it away XD.
Also started learning my newest form, Sam Jang, which is a pretty neat one :D.

                                                             Taking off my Yellow Belt.

Getting my Green Belt tied on(I haven't received my certificate yet since they aren't done; I'll get it this coming week).

So, now I have to prepare for my Blue Stripe(wow, time sure has flown.....). I'm getting nearer and nearer to a Black Belt.
(ranks in the WTF*World Taekwondo Federation* are as follows- White Belt, Yellow Stripe, Yellow Belt, Green Stripe, Green Belt, Blue Stripe, Blue Belt, Red Stripe, Red Belt, Black Stripe, Black Belt, and the degrees of Black).

  1. Congratulations, Maegen! Ah, you're getting closer to my last belt (my last belt before leaving Karate was blue)!! XD
I don't know about Taekwondo, but the tests for blue belts and above in Karate are different from the lower belts. They're like.. twice to thrice as hard (called Gashuku). I didn't have enough endurance training and at that time, I was a bit undisciplined. Thus, I barely passed the test.
You better keep on practicing and training! :D

    1. Thank you!!! :D Great! :D Yeah, I'm looking forward to having that one! :D. Definitely- the Green Belt test was really hard and, from what I've been told, the belt level tests get harder each time.
      Thanks! :D Agreed!

    1. Yeah, they're pretty hard, but if you know your stuff, it's not too hard(the worst part is just keeping your breath since it's easy to get tired). Thank you!! :D
