Techinically 101, but one of the books is a edited draft of one of my sister's fantasy books, but it is not yet published, so I couldn't add it to goodreads. On goodreads, it will show 100.

Most were fiction, but I read four non-fiction. Want to try and read a bit more next year.

Favorite book of 2022?:
Leviathan Falls by James S.A. Corey - the perfect ending to an amazing series and I'm so glad I gave this series I shot, I love it so much!
The Last Command by Timothy Zahn - finally finished the Thrawn trilogy and I loved it! The final showdown at the end of this book was just pure awesomeness. Made me LOVE Mara Jade a lot.
Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson - I loved this continuation and Spensa continues to be a favorite character of mine! Also loved M-Bot's character development.
The Galaxy and the Ground Within by Becky Chambers - A moving, encouraging book where people try to be the best and work through their issues.

I do want to finish both A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee and Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb, since I've started them but didn't manage to finish them before the end of 2022. I also want to re-read The Fellowship of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
I definitely want to continue my Star Wars EU/Legends read through and I want to make more progress in 2023! So I want to read: continue the X-Wing series and maybe try to finish it (I'll be starting with The Kyrtos Trap, since I've read the first two), read Dark Apprentice and Champions of the Force to finish the Jedi Academy trilogy (as I read book 1 in 2022), I Jedi, Callista trilogy, The Crystal Star, The Black Fleet crisis trilogy, The New Rebellion, Corellian trilogy, The Hand of Thrawn duology, Scourge, Survivor's Quest, re-read the Young Jedi Knights and Junior Jedi Knights series and I would like to at least get to Vector Prime (for New Jedi Order). I also want to read for comics: Rebellion, At War with the Empire, The Old Republic, and any others I can find.

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?
After Atlas started off strong and I was hoping to enjoy it, but the ending really killed it for me. I also was a bit disappointed in Homegoing, but that was more because I wanted to read more about Ghana and less about the US (as I know the history of black people in the US, but I don't know much about Ghana, so I always wanted to go back and learn more about that country and would be bummed when we were in the US). A really major disappointment for me was The Maid, since I'd heard it had a Neurodivergent main character, but yet again it was terribly written.
3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?:
While I had major issues with this book which keep it from being an all time fave, the good parts of The Sword of Kaigen were very impressive and the book managed to get me to cry, which hasn't happened in years.

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?
The Mountains Sing. It's a historical fiction book that takes place in Vietnam and it was SO good. Really loved one of our main characters and I really enjoyed learning more about the history of Vietnam and what the country is like. I also felt like the author handled a lot of topics with care and compassion, which I found impressive.

Leviathan Falls, The Last Command (that last section), Cytonic, and the three Skyward novellas.

The Dragon Republic. I couldn't stand it. I also didn't like The Enchanted April or Darling Girl or The Maid. But The Dragon Republic was the worst since I HATE Rin so much. She committs genocide and it feels like the author wants us to like her. She is also not even a good villainous lead, in that she screams, cries, and throws a tantrum when someone is mean to her and expects the reader to feel bad for her when I really just want to punch the bitch. I can't stand soggy wet blanket characters who lash out and act all entitled and she is the worst I've come across. I also have issues with how Kuang writes white people, she doesn't seem to write any that aren't evil (looking at all of her work, this is showing to be a pattern).
