Happy Valentine's Day and Favorite Pairings

                            Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! :D :D
Unlike a lot of people, I've always liked Valentine's Day- my family and I have fun traditions we do and it's enjoyable :). Even though I'm older, I don't do the whole 'Forever Alone' thing since I know that I will eventually get married. One thing I don't get it why teens/young adults say that- I can understand if your like forty, but if your young you've got your whole life ahead of you. Oh well :)

So, I've thought of doing this for awhile, but I'm going to do a list of my favorite pairings/Ships :) They come from books/movies/TV shows mainly and most are canon but some aren't(I think there are only a couple like that, however; I'll let you know). :) :) And I'll try not to make the post too long :)

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi from Star Wars(Secrets of the Jedi, Jedi Apprentice, Jedi Quest). My top favorite pairing ever and the first one I actually liked :D. How could I not include it?
I really enjoy the two of them- they fit each other perfectly and their interactions are really funny. The chemistry between them is awesome and I wish there were more books with the two of them. :D It's also the only Obi-Wan-related relationship that I consider canon. I love both of them as characters which is also important since in a lot of fiction, its common to only one character interesting and the other is just the bland love interest. So, major props to Jude Watson for bringing both a character from the films and one of her own creation to such vibrant life :D.
I also love that Obi-Wan was paired with a Jedi; I can see Anakin liking someone who wasn't one since, having been raised outside the Temple, it would make sense. However, for someone like Obi-Wan, I'd only see him paired with a fellow Jedi since they would relate so much better. Plus, Siri is an awesome fighter and can take care of herself and I'm glad they had Obi-Wan like someone who he wouldn't have to worry about(too much, since everyone worries about the person they like) because he knew she was just as good as he was and could take care of herself.
The pairing is a sad one, but nonetheless, it's perfect.

Belle and Rumplestiltskin from Once Upon A Time.
This one is awesome as well!! :D It's really good and unexpected and so amazing they got me to love it after one episode(and it's gotten even better). This show also does a great job making you like both characters. Rumplestiltskin is definitely the most complex on the show and while a villain, to an extent, Belle brings out the goodness in him and he's been gradually been getting better :). Belle isn't just a prop in the story either which I love- she is brave, resourceful, very smart(she found the invisible boat at the docks, rescued Archie, got the shawl back, and pawned Hook twice in a single episode), and a very kind person who isn't afraid to call Rumplestiltskin out when he's acting mean(she's one of the few that actually can do that). This pairing has been awesome so far this season and it is only going to get better.
The actors(Robert Carlyle and Emilie de Ravin) are amazing in their own right but they were perfectly together and have some of the best acting chemistry I've ever seen. I definitely want to work with the two of them someday :)

A scene from episode 4 of season 2(episode 14 is coming up Sunday and it looks epic!:D )

Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl from Star Wars (Jedi Apprentice and Legacy of the Jedi).
Another one of my favorite pairings! It's also a very good one(by Jude Watson as well) as well as a sad one; the two are great characters and while we don't get to see too much of them, their chemistry is very well done and makes you wish you could see more of them. :)

Rose Tyler and the Doctor(9 and 10) from Doctor Who.
This was such an amazing ship! I liked it immediately when I started season 1 of the show and its one of my top favorites still! :) It  works well, isn't sappy, and the actors have awesome acting chemistry :D. It was one of the million reasons why I loved the show, and I wish we could have seen more of both their characters. I loved how both were great characters and that you cared about them a whole lot over the course of the series. It was sad, but it ended up well(for Rose anyway) in the end of season 4.
It was also pretty funny at times and I enjoyed how it wasn't the annoying insta-love that is prevalent in too many shows nowadays. Good writing right there! :)

Sherlock Holmes and John Watson in BBC's Sherlock.
While not entirely canon, as of yet, I can definitely see it becoming so(especially from some things the actors and creators have said). It seems very unlikely, but its awesome and hilarious! XD I love the jokes about them throughout the series(had me laughing a lot). Like my sister said in her post, John was the first person Sherlock showed concern for and I think that's pretty telling. I can't wait to see more of these two in the upcoming season :)

In my book series,  there is an awesome ship involving my main character. I won't reveal anything about it just yet(since it doesn't really come up until the second season, though you might see some of the hints I sprinkled in the first series), I just want to say, even I, the writer, ship it! XD. I hope you all end up liking it as much as I do. It won't be annoying, I can promise you that :)
(after this are ships I really like, not my OTPs).

Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila from Star Wars(Junior Jedi Knights series and New Jedi Order series).
I've really liked the two together since the first Junior Jedi Knights book. They really compliment each other well and I wish it had a happier ending (I was so mad with what the did to Anakin). :(

Darra Thel-Tanis and Ferus Olin from Star Wars(Jedi Quest)
While not exactly canon, I can definitely see it happening between the two characters and I really like the idea of it. :) There are some hints in the Jedi Quest series and I wish it could have been obviously canon

Prince Aleksandar(Alek) of Hohenberg and Midshipman Deryn(Dylan's her fake name) Sharp from the Leviathan Trilogy.
The shipping is really funny and well done and I absolutely love both characters. They are both fabulously written and both are really cool (Deryn saves Alek a lot... XD). I really enjoyed reading about their adventures on the Leviathan and other places around the world and I wish there were more books!

Tallisibith Enderwung-Esterhazy(Scout) and Whie Maleraux from Star Wars(Yoda: Dark Rendezvous)
While there isn't too much of it, I really enjoyed it and their characters.

Jaina Solo and Zekk from Star Wars (Young Jedi Knights series)
Sadly, Jaina doesn't end up with Zekk(she gets married to Jag, who I don't like :P) but I really like the ship and it was perfect in the YJK series. I only wish it had been carried into the other books.

Tenel Ka Chume Ta' Djo and Jacen Solo from Star Wars(Young Jedi Knights)
While I don't particularly like what happened to these characters in the later books, I really enjoyed these two in the Young Jedi Knights series. They were hilarious and Tenel Ka's stoic,  humorless demeanor was great against Jacen's humorous one. :)

Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker from Star Wars
While I haven't really read anything with them(except for the New Jedi Order books I read where she was pregnant or sick), I really like what I've heard. And Mara Jade sounds like such an awesome character! :D

Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley from Harry Potter

Besides Siri and Obi-Wan, Ron and Hermione are probably one of my oldest ships. I remember while reading the books and watching the films, I always knew they'd end up together and having arguments with kids in my Sunday School about who Hermione was going to end up(some kids agreed with me and some thought she'd end up with Harry). I really like the both of them since they are great characters and good  friends throughout the series :)
From Harry Potter, I also like Lily/Snape

Captain America and Iron Man(The Avengers) in a Fanfiction sense
While I do like Peggy/Steve and Tony/Pepper, I also like these two. Before I watched any of the Avenger films, I saw a giff on Tumblr and (Like I did with Johnlock) I randomly decided to ship them.

Katara and Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender
While I was watching the show, I preferred Katara/Aang(which is below) but after my Mom said something to me after she watched it(and after I re-watched some episodes), I found myself really liking the ship.

Katara and Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender

While I slightly like Katara/Zuko, I still really like Katara and Aang and ship if canonically and I enjoyed seeing it grow on the show.

Sokka and Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender
Same as with Zutara, I didn't initially ship these two, but after finishing the show, I started to like the pairing and wish it were canon. :)

Sokka and Suki from Avatar: The Last Airbender

While I slightly prefer Tokka, I still really enjoyed Sokka and Suki and I shipped it while watching the show and I still ship it canonically :)

Lin Bei Fong and Tenzin from Avatar: The Legend of Korra
While they aren't 'together' on the show, I really wish they were. :)

Captain Jack and Ianto from Torchwood
Even though I haven't started Torchwood yet, I've already decided to ship the two of them :) From what I've read on the Doctor Who wiki and Tumblr, it is definitely one I believe I will like.

                                                                Bastila Shan and Revan
I've loved what I read on Wookiepedia and from the book Revan and I definitely ship it. I can't wait to eventually play the game. It seems like a really good ship! :)

Willow and Oz from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Probably the best ship on the show. I really enjoyed the two of them and Oz was a really awesome guy! :) It was really funny, both were great characters, and the end of it was really well done but sad.

Willow and Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

While I didn't like it too much at first(since I preferred her with Oz and it seemed weird that they just decided to make her lesbian- I think they should have had her be Bi since it would have made more sense), I ended up really liking it, especially in the fifth and sixth seasons. :)

In Buffy I also liked Buffy/Angel

For Covert Knight's challenge, here is a picture that represents my favorite pairing. See if you can figure it out :)

Blog Award and Funny thing for Valentine's Day

Thank you to Solace who gave me the award! :)

1: I know the EU is more canon than the TCW
2: I'm single but I do not do the whole "forever alone" thing :P
3: I hate it when I'm talking or posting something and people either ignore me or change the subject
4: I love metal, rock, and pop music the best, but I like selections of most things(except rap)
5: My two top favorite films are Revenge of the Sith(Star Wars) and The Return of the King(LOTR)
6: My favorite planet is Saturn
7: I have an editor for my book series!! :D

And, since I'm really sorry and I feel badly, I award this to Stilwater since I was in a hurry while writing this up last time.

Since I have plans for a Valentine's Day post and this looked kind of fun, I have decided to do this party of sorts, but I'm changing it from ladies to girls since I don't really care for the term 'ladies'(though I do like the song, mainly because of Glee XD).

1. White chocolate or milk/dark chocolate? Milk Chocolate is the best, but I also love White Chocolate fudge and dark chocolate is good too.

2. Tea or Coffee? Tea; I drink it more often. However, I still love the way coffee tastes and I wish I could have Mochas more often.

3. Movie or book on a night-in? I'm going to do both! XD :D

4. Rom-com or a tear-jerker? Tear-jerker, I guess(though it is likely I won't cry) since I don't like romance films(though there was romantic comedy I liked once because it was pretty funny with the main girl having OCD and it had Abigail Breslin in it).

5. Who is the first literary couple to come to your mind? Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi :D

6. Who is the first *movie* couple that comes to your mind? Rumplestiltskin and Belle(I know it's from a TV show but I really like it....)

7. Roses or chocolate? Chocolate but I love flowers too :) :)

8. Fancy dinner in a 4-star restaurant or a simple picnic? Depends on my mood.

9. Dream wedding scenario: outdoor family affair, or a formal church wedding & reception at a 5-star hotel? Neither!! See, I'm going to have this awesome STAR WARS(and other fandoms) themed wedding and we're all going to be dress up, there will be Star Wars music, and all kinds of epic things! :D

10. What was the last love song you listened to? I can't remember; I don't really listen to too many of those songs.

11. Favorite real-life/celebrity couple? Hmm, the problem is, I usually sort of ship actors together if they work well together, but I guess I'll go with Ewan McGregor and his wife Eve Mavrakis and Robert Carylye and his wife Anastasia Shirley. :)

12. One piece of advice about love:

“If you love two people at the same time, choose the second. Because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second.” - Johnny Depp

Thank you to James at JandJ Productions for this award! :D - http://jandjproductions1809.blogspot.com/

Okay, so now I have to state 7 things about myself

1: So, I've got some good news laced with a little bad. The good news is, I'm going to be doing a play, called "The Man Who Came to Dinner"(which is really funny) and I have a good role(the mother, Mrs. Stanley) with a lot of lines which I'm really looking forward to! (took out part) It's also annoying that the girl who got the main girl part, got the role only because her mother is running it- she can't even act all that well! :P Story of my life! XP. Well, at least the guys who got big roles can act very well, so that helps.

2: I've never been good at making friends in real life. In fact, I really only have a couple at the moment. I don't quite know why I don't make friends easily, but it's probably a mixture of my geekiness(they think I'm weird), the fact that I don't talk too much since I don't want to intrude in groups of people, or some other factor like maybe I like charisma or something. I do have a lot of really good online friends and I have college coming up, so all is good, though a part of me wishes I could meet a couple of people where I live.

3: I recently found out that I'm directly descended from some of the Holy Roman Emperors.

4: I'm a Christian, Liberal, Homeschooler which is quite rare in the general area where I live.

5: I prefer Russel T. Davies time as director of Doctor Who than Steven Moffat's, though I did really enjoy season 6 (though I didn't like the sexist comment in "Let's Kill Hitler")

6: Even though I 'ship'(pair) people up in fiction a lot, I'm not a romantic-obsessive type of person and many people are surprised to find out that I do the whole 'shipping' thing.

7: I am looking forward to college, especially the parts regarding my major/minor, but Math is something I'm definitely not excited about since it is my weakest subject.

I tag(I'll give it to people who haven't received it).

I thought I'd also answer James's questions from the Shine On Award

Here are my questions:
1: What is the best movie that you have seen in the last week (or month)?: I recently saw the film "Children Who Chase Lost Voices"(an anime) and loved it! :D It was very well written, really interesting, and another good film to add to my list of favorite anime films :D. I definitely recommend it

2: Do you usually read reviews of films that you have already seen or one you plan to see?: I tend to do both since I like to hear other people's thoughts on them.

3: Favorite Avengers film (not including The Avengers)?: THOR!! :D I love the fantasy element of it and the interactions between Thor, Loki, and Odin :D.

4: Have you seen the X-Men films? What is your opinion?: I saw the first one made and really enjoyed it. I loved that their were girl superheroes with powers and I definitely want to see the rest of them.
5: Have you seen Inception? What is your opinion?: Inception was an amazing film  that really made you think. I love the twists and turns, the whole dream-level idea, and the fact that, by the end, everything makes sense(plus there is that cool cliff-hanger).
6: Do you have cable, satellite, antenna or other TV?: No; my family and I don't watch most TV and most of the shows I watch(besides OUAT and DW and Sherlock) have already finished or are really far in their seasons, so I watch most of it on Amazon Prime(though I can watch OUAT either on TV since I get channel 5 or on ABC.com the next day). :)

7: Do you have a DVR or TiVo?: I think we have a DVR.

Shine On Award from Grace

Thank you for the tag, Grace! :D

1. How long does it take you to fall into a new fandom? If it's a TV show, how many episodes? Or if it's a movie, what are deciding factors that make you go "OH MY GOSH THIS IS MY LIFE FROM HERE UNTIL I find something new", etc: It really depends on the story. For a TV show, it usually takes me a few episodes until I say "I LOVE this!" However, the show has to catch my attention from the beginning for me to keep watching it. With a movie, it has to grab my attention. Sometimes I love it right away and sometimes it takes me til I've finished it before I realize how good it was. :) The same goes for books.

2.  Do you have any pets? If not, what pets do you want to have someday?: I don't, but we got some puppies dropped off at our house that are my BROTHER'S, not mine. I don't care for pets, nor do I ever want any(except a horse since I like them). I've never been much of a dog person.

3.  Where is your dream place to live?: Europe! :D It is so beautiful and mystical and most of my ancestry comes from there. Of course, L.A. would be amazing since I could be an actor much easier! And, I'd love to live in my favorite fictional worlds! :D

4.  Sci-Fi or Fantasy? Why?: I love both very much but if I had to choose, I'd go with Sci-Fi(the softer variety, of course). I love the futuristic sense of it as well as the space travel, the aliens, and normally, girls are treated as equals and things are more fair and balanced since it is normally the future.

5.  What color do you feel today?  What color matches your mood?: Hmmm, I guess green? I'm in an all right mood, but not overly happy or mad.

6.  Who is the character you relate with best? From any of your fandoms, whatever they may be: It really depends. For Star Wars, I definitely relate to Obi-Wan, Siri, and Anakin(senior) the most. For other fandoms, it really depends on my mood at the moment and what's going on with their lives. I often identify with people who are found odd by most everyone else, are heroes no matter what, and while heroic(brave) are human and have failings like everyone else.

7.  If someone asks you for advice, and you can only reply with lyrics from a song (any song) what would you tell them?: It really depends on the situation. If they were having troubles with accepting themselves, I'd do "Born this Way."

8.  Favorite childhood toy?: A doll of mine named Amy. I also love my plastic lightsaber(s), legos, barbies, and other dolls.

3:
Solace's questions

-Who's your role model?: For fictional characters I'd go with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi, Sam Gamgee, Belle(OUAT), Harry Potter, Katara(ATLA), and Buffy Summers; I chose them because they are all strong, kind, brave, and good and they are many things I can learn from them.
For writers I'd choose J.R.R. Tolkien, Matthew Stover, Jude Watson, J.K. Rowling, Kevin J. Anderson/Jessica Moesta, Karen Miller, and Suzanne Collins- these people are amazing writers and they all inspire me to reach farther in my writing endeavors
For actors, I greatly admire, Ewan McGregor, Liam Nesson, Robert Carlyle, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Emilie de Ravin, James Marsters, Natalie Portman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Dee Bradley Baker, Matt Lanter, and Dakora Blue Richards- they are all amazing actors and people and make me want to improve my craft and to be as gracious and kind as they are. :)
-Why do you blog?: To connect with my friends(most of whom I met online) and to share my life and interests, and really just express myself. I love getting to know my friends and discuss fandoms and life. Plus, I love getting comments :)
-How do you view Twilight?: It's a really bad series of books and an even worse set of movies. There are some bad messages in the story(especially regarding how a girl should view a relationship and her significant other and how guys should act towards his significant other) and the main characters are pretty dull. However, I have found even worse books written that make this series actually look half-way decent; here are the titles, "Fifty Shades of Gray", "Hush, Hush", "Halo", and the plethora of paranormal romance written nowadays.
-Describe your style of writing: Descriptive, emotional, psychological, mature, and character orientated(I hope so, anyway).
-When do you get a stroke of inspiration most? (FYI, Mines is in the shower. I love water.): It can happen anywhere at any time. I can be in bed, walking around, in class, reading, watching a show...It really matters more on my state of mind.
-What do you do with your stroke of inspiration? For example, I rush to write in my notebook and then type it up later: I usually keep it in my mind, though I sometimes write it down.

Covert Knight's questions

-How do you view school? (School is hell to me): Well, since I'm homeschooled, it's all right and I enjoy it for the most part(except for math and essays :P); I really can't wait for college though and working towards my major and minor. I don't know about public school since they're all different but the ones in my town are kind of bad at times from what I hear(though there are some really good teachers).

-What kind of TV shows do you like to watch? Mystery-murder? Forensic flicks? Romantic dramas? Cartoons? Action-adventure? Comedy? Reality show? Why do you like it?
(I like action-adventure cartoons, mostly. But I'm getting addicted to Bones - a forensic flick filled with humor and quality characters): I love anything that is well written with deep characterization and amazing writing. However, my favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, action, character studies, and sometimes even dramas. My favorite shows at the moment are - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Once Upon A Time, Angel, North and South, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Firefly, Kyle XY Glee, Fruits Basket, Legend of Korra, and Merlin (I also enjoy Modern Family and The Amazing Race). :)

-(If you're a Star Wars fan) What is your opinion regarding the Expanded Universe?
(IMO, it often creates wonderful stuff - Black Sun, Imperial Knights, but sometimes creates cringe-worthy stuff, too - like Taria Damsin): I LOVE THE STAR WARS EU!!! It has created some of the best story lines and the best characters and in my opinion, it is much better than TCW. Without the EU, we wouldn't have Siri Tachi, the Solo children, SiriWan, amazing adventures, a better understanding of Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Qui-Gon, Mara Jade, etc. However, I do agree- Taria Damsin is EVIL! She is also an embarressment to the EU(as is Karen Traviss's terrible books) Luckily, Taria isn't canon

-What kind of person is an ideal teacher to you?: A person who encourages and is kind but also helps and tells you what you can improve on and actually TELLS you what it is and how to go about doing it.

-If you're allowed to go somewhere with someone or a group of people, be it fictional or real, who would those people/that someone be? How'd you spend time with them/he/she?: I'd love to spend time with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, Jaina Solo, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Solo, Belle(OUAT), Sam Gamgee, Frodo, Rose Tyler, the Doctor(9th and 10th regeneration), Ewan McGregor, Tom Hiddleston, Liam Nesson, Robert Carlyle, Emilie de Ravin, Chris Hemsworth, all of my friends, and the guy I like :). I'd love to run around the galaxies and fantasy worlds with them and have a blast! :D We could travel in the TARDIS and go everywhere!! :D

-If tomorrow's your last day, what'd you do?: I'd contact all my friends and talk to them(and hopefully meet most of them in person), meet up with old friends and people I'm not as close to anymore and reconcile, ask people to publish my books for me, go to a film set and ask to film a scene with one of my favorite actors, hug the guy I like(then run away), perform on stage before an audience, and travel to the stars. And also request how certain stories end.

-Do you believe in ghosts and/or any kind of magic/miracle? Why/why not?: I do believe in miracles since I know of a few that have happened to people I know and I am religious as well so I believe in an afterlife. However, I don't believe in ghosts or magic.

-Technology or magic? Why?: Both! I think a combination of both would benefit the world and, if used correctly, could make it a better place :).

My questions

- If I was going to co-star with your favorite actor, what would you want our character's connection to be(as in family, friends, etc,)?

- If you could travel with any of the Doctors, which one would you choose?

- Would you rather live in a science fiction world or a fantasy world?

- If you could be an Avenger, which would you choose to be?

- Who are your top 10 Jedi characters?

- What are some stories you wish you could have made up?

- If you were going to be in a film, what kind of weapon would you want your character to have?

- Of your favorite fictional characters, who would you want for your best friend(if you want, you can pick one from each of your fandoms)?

- What are your top two fandoms and why are they your favorite?

Well, thank you all very much and I hope you enjoyed the post :)

Achieving my Yellow Belt in Taekwondo

On January 25th, I tested, and passed, the test I took for my Yellow Belt and passed! :D I should have tested back in the summer but since I kept being gone during testing, I had to wait until this day. It was a tiring test but I feel good about it and it was a lot of fun. I broke a board with a palm strike and did takedowns with my sister(I also got to spar a little). I was, of course, nervous but I did well and now I have learned my newest form, Il Jang. :D

My sister and I doing one-step sparring.

I got my belt on the Thursday after my test (I'd went that Monday but it hadn't arrived yet). When you get a new belt(or stripe) you go up to the front and the main instructor gives you a certificate and if you're getting a new belt, has you take your old one off and ties your new one on for you. I love having a new color! :D

My Yellow Belt and Certificate :) :D
I've done several things for Taekwondo lately in and around testing time. On the Monday after test, I did some sparring and even though I still have much to learn, I did a whole lot better, especially since I was fighting quite a lot of higher ranking people. I also went over my testing form tonight with the instructor who tested me and I did really good, even better than last time :).
To Green Stripe and Onward! :D
